How Decoral process works

Preparation and Coating,
Raw aluminum surfaces receive traditional pretreatment of chemical conversions, which creates thin layers of amorphous oxide with a coating.

The next step in powder coat systems: Electrostatic guns are then utilized to apply a 2.5 mils layer of powder paint (nonhazardous). Utilizing a 400°F temperature for up to 30 minutes, Polymerization is then performed. The applied base coat is conducive to creating sufficient hardness on the final product. Moreover, it protects the aluminum from factors such as weather, corrosion, abrasion, light and humidity.

Decoration
Next, a preprinted film transfer (containing organic photosensitive pigments and cellulose resin) is wrapped around the product, which is set on the surface of a trolley. Using a vacuum suction system, air is then removed, resulting in a perfect thermo print.

The trolley is inserted into a specialized oven, affecting the decoration by converting ink pigments from solid, into gas and back again to solid within the paint layer. The film is removed once it has cooled.
